Research & Technical Services
With the strong support from a highly professional team consisting of experienced management staff, research scientists, process engineers as well as sales and production personnel, the scope of activities of MG EcoTech encompasses the entire flow from research to production and marketing. This has formed the strong platform for the MG EcoTech Group as a whole as for its edge on other players in the market in terms of commercialization of its newly-developed products and processes.
MG EcoTech possesses the proven technical capabilities of transforming organic waste including green waste from the palm oil industry into a range of BOF catering for different requirements. While the patent application for this proprietary process was filed in February 2004, on-going research efforts in both basic and application aspects will continue. In addition, MG EcoTech has the capability in providing strategic partners with joint research opportunities to further enhance the production process.
In this rapid-paced technology development era, registration of intellectual property rights is not only a prudent commercial procedure but has become a business routine necessity. This is to protect and to clarify the rights of the company, its employees in the IP development and the rights of company’s shareholders. We have so far successfully registered at least two proprietary processes and products and a number of trademarks.
Bioprocess Engineering
As mentioned, technical capability in producing the agro-related range of products including BOF from raw materials of biodegradable nature, particularly those disease-control types, is considered relatively demanding as the process will involve property assessment of the selected raw materials, close monitoring on certain key parameters during the active biodegradation stage as well as quality control of the end products.
In addition, the scalable methodology adopted provides flexibility in contracting the proprietary fertilizer production process to strategic partners such as the existing fertilizer producers and plantation companies under two different business arrangements namely the “Co-Manufacture™ Program” and the “BioWorks® Scheme” respectively.
The successful experience in our commercialization efforts in terms of organic waste management capability in the past few years should demonstrate our ability in repeating similar outcome in our future development in such aspects. Some of the examples are : |
